The Globe of Science and Innovation is a landmark of CERN, the purpose of which is to inform visitors about the significant research at CERN. The wooden structure, which is 27 metres high and 40 metres wide, represents sustainable development.〔http://public.web.cern.ch/public/en/spotlight/SpotlightGlobe-en.html〕 It was originally built for Expo.02 in Neuchâtel, and was moved to its current location in 2004. == Exhibitions == The Globe of Science and Innovation is an admission-free exhibition area of CERN. It is open from Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 till 17:00.
